Hey genius creators,
[Read time - 4 Minutes ]
From a shallow generic writer to a creative artist.
Well, that's what we're gonna break down today.
You ready?
I'm ready.
Let's go ↓
Differentiate yourself from the sea of shallow writers to a writer that can make anyone's heart BEAT, BANG AND HAMMER with such extreme fascination that they stop everything else and chow down every word you write like a cheetah on red bull.
When people’s attention span is low you will never make it with generic writing and spinning shallow content you get crickets……
4 Tips to become a better creator.
Once you come up with your content idea
1-Make it dramatic, eye-catching and thrilling.
Use show and tell style of writing.
(Have you ever narrated a movie story to someone at least in your childhood, If, how did you ? 😊)
Be crafty enough to use tiny little words on paper to make anyone's emotions rise and fall like the ocean waves.
2-Decide to who you are writing.
Are you writing for WOMEN?
Women love details. Lots of them.
Are you writing for men?
What men find sexy?
They need a quick shot.
Men prefer objective information (eg; make, model, speed, etc.)
Putting words on paper just isn’t enough.
These words have to be meaningful and powerful.
This can only be done if you've already performed proper mental gymnastics in the world of writing.
Ideas should flow from your brain as smoothly as water off a duck's back.
3-Learn how to make your Idea Sound Valuable.
Just pull up a random Google search about
"How to build a personal brand online? "
and you'll find yourself in a jungle of links after links with ridiculously horrible content like –
Be relevant
Put a bio
Post regular etc..
Who doesn’t know all these stuffs?
Which is why – You not only make it highly juicy to read, but also make it sound so valuable that the end user gets plenty of "AHA" moments.
You should be able to move, inspire and jolt your audience into action.
4- Do not Try to be Creative.
Sounds strange?
But its true, if you are an online entrepreneur and wants to sell a service or product,
You have to channel into the pre-existing desires of your target market. Those rules are the same and barely change.
The job is DISCOVERY. Not CREATION.
You discover what already keeps your audience up at night. Their greatest pressing problem, deepest desire etc.
Simply finds it and expresses it.
And you will start winning the game.
That’s all for writing ….
One Framework for the week :
Authors of Designing Your Life Bill Burnett and Dave Evans, Professors from The Stanford Design School inspired me a lot in the last part pf 2022, While I was redesigning my career online.
If you are not working on this weekend, mark some time alone and you can think of it as a free-flowing brainstorm on the next 5-10 years of your life.
The basic idea is to reframe the approach to creating a personal 5-year-plan in a more open and interactive manner.
Here is your simplified Odyssey plan prompts.
1. What would your life look like in 5 years if you continued down your current path?
2. What would your life look like in 5 years if Plan A disappeared and you pivoted and took an alternative, completely different path?
3. What would your life look like in 5 years if money, time, and other constraints were no object?
For each prompt, the goal is to sketch out real detail on what that timeline, journey, and end state looks like.
· What are you doing?
· Where are you living?
· Who are you spending time with?
· How are you feeling day-to-day?
I did it in November 2022 and pivoted the transition in my life
If you're at a life transition point, consider conducting an Odyssey Plan exercise
Go deeper and deeper from the surface level till you find the compelling why and inspiration.
ONE PRO TIP
Figure out how you can help other people and other businesses.
Then, more money will flow your way than you could ever imagine.
Enjoy your week!
See ya next Saturday.
